42flows.tech is an international IT company specializing in the development of technology solutions for digital business transformation. We build high-load backend systems, integration layers (Open API, Middleware), customized CRM solutions, and Digital/Conversational Banking products that help clients in FinTech, banking, retail, e-commerce, and telecom automate processes and scale their businesses.

We are looking for an experienced Middle Backend Developer to join a web project in the active development phase. This is a full-time, remote position with location within Ukraine. You will work in a cross-functional team consisting of 2 backend developers, a DevOps engineer, 2 frontend developers, 3 QA engineers, and a Project Manager.

Hiring Process

  1. Recruiter interview (30 minutes)
  2. Paid practical task + technical interview (30 minutes)
  3. Internal interview (30 minutes)
  4. Final interview with the client (30 minutes)

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Node.js / TypeScript
  • Strong expertise in NestJS (REST API, middleware, guards, interceptors, microservices)
  • Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL: schema design, indexing, query optimization
  • Hands-on experience with Prisma ORM (migrations, relations, custom queries, seed data)
  • Practical experience with Redis
  • Integration with external services (Google Spreadsheets, AWS S3)
  • Experience with BigQuery: writing SQL queries, integration with Node.js
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests
  • Basic knowledge of Docker
  • Understanding of business process automation systems (Camunda, Corezoid, Node-RED)

Responsibilities

  • Develop REST APIs for internal and client-facing products
  • Work with databases: query optimization and database architecture design
  • Integrate services such as Redis, Vault, Google BigQuery, Google Spreadsheets, and AWS S3Write tests (unit, integration, e2e) and technical documentation (OpenAPI / Swagger)
  • Participate in planning sessions, brainstorming, and code reviews
